Art and Play: Silly Tea Party!

Things are getting very silly at momstown Edmonton this month, and the kids (and mamas) are loving it! Once again, we enjoyed our fantastic Art and Play program at The Toy Hutch. We started off our morning reading a very silly book by Todd Parr, “Underwear Dos and Don’ts.” Mamas, if you want to guarantee a laugh from your child, READ THIS BOOK. After that, we sang a silly song called “Elephants have Wrinkles.” Once we got our sillies out dancing, we went to our silly craft: Silly Hats! Using paper plates, scissors, and an assortment of different items (feathers, stickers, rhinestones, pom poms, pipe cleaners, etc), the kids made some very silly hats!

And what better way to end our crafting, then to have a Silly Tea Party? Wearing their silly hats, the kids sat down to some Strawberry Tea and homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies. It was a hit! And it was so cute to see them dipping their cookies in the tea while wearing their silly hats. It was a Silly Tea Party the Mad Hatter would be proud of!
